Freeway towns and valley towns
Stirling, Aldgate, Crafers and Bridgewater sit close to the South Eastern Freeway and feel almost suburban. Further out, Lobethal, Woodside, Gumeracha and Birdwood are country towns with their own main streets. The scope for each reflects how long the drive is and how many visits a week make sense.
Wet winters, leafy autumns
This is one of the wettest parts of South Australia, and the deciduous trees around Stirling and Aldgate drop heavy leaf litter each autumn. Entry mats, hard floors and gutters near doors take a beating from May to September, so the scope can lift entry and floor work for those months.
Sites spread over a big council
Halls, sports clubrooms, cellar doors, offices and small manufacturers are scattered across dozens of localities. Visits are grouped by direction where possible, so a site in Lobethal and one in Woodside can share a trip. The record from each visit shows the times on site, whatever the distance.
