Cleaning in Prospect

What changes across the council.

Prospect Road

The council's main street has cafés and shops at ground level, offices above, and the council library along the strip. Sites here are busy by day and quiet by night, so most are cleaned in the evening or early morning.

Main North Road frontages

Showrooms, shops and medical services line Main North Road through Nailsworth and Prospect. Many sites combine a hard-floored showroom with carpeted offices, so the scope gives each area its own method.

Western and northern edges

Ovingham, Broadview, Sefton Park and the Churchill Road side bring a different mix again, with smaller commercial sites set among the houses. Access, parking and visit times are agreed site by site, and written into the scope.

9 suburbs, one scope and one record.

We take on work across the City of Prospect. If your site is in one of these, the walk-through, the written scope and the visit record work the same way.

Questions

Cleaning in Prospect: questions.

Which Prospect suburbs do you take work in?

All nine: Broadview, Collinswood, Fitzroy, Medindie Gardens, Nailsworth, Ovingham, Prospect, Sefton Park and Thorngate. A Sefton Park clinic and a Prospect Road café get the same walk-through, a written scope and a record of each visit.

Our Prospect Road café shares a rear lane with other shops. Can bins and the back step be included?

Yes. Taking bins out, hosing the back step and clearing litter from your part of the lane can be added to the visit. Where the lane is shared, the scope marks which section is yours, so the work stays on your side of the line.

Our showroom on Main North Road has polished concrete. How is it kept looking right?

It's dust-mopped first to lift grit, then wet-mopped with a pH-neutral product, which keeps the sheen from dulling. A machine scrub and burnish can be added on a rotation, listed separately, if traffic wears a path through the display.

We're an office above a shop. Can the stairwell and our entry door be done?

Yes. The stair treads, handrail, landing and the glass in the street door are cleaned each visit, and the scope notes whether the stair belongs to you or is shared with the shop below.

Can the visit move on nights when the Prospect Road strip is busy?

Yes. Some evenings bring more diners and less parking along the strip. A visit can start later or move to another night, agreed in advance and noted in the scope.

Point us at the site. Upstairs, out back or on the main road.

We'll meet you at your Prospect site, look at the floor finishes, the stair, the rear lane, the kitchen and the toilets, ask about trading hours, then send a written scope with the tasks, the visit times and the price.
