Commercial cleaning, Port Adelaide Commercial cleaning in Port Adelaide.Old stone, new waterfront.

Port Adelaide sits on the Port River north-west of the city, and much of its town centre is a State Heritage Area. Offices, pubs, shops and museums share nineteenth-century buildings along St Vincent, Lipson and Commercial streets, while newer apartments line the waterfront promenade.

Cleaning in Port Adelaide

Heritage fabric sets the method.

Colonial buildings, modern tenants

Bond stores, banks and hotels from the 1800s now hold offices, studios and galleries. Original tiles, worn timber boards, ornate cornices and lofty ceilings all need gentler products and a little more time than a standard fit-out, and the scope says which surfaces get which treatment.

Pubs and venues near the wharf

The Port's historic hotels trade late on weekends and around football and festival days. Bars, toilets and dining rooms are done before the doors open, and beer gardens, cellars and kitchens can sit on separate frequencies so the busiest weeks get the extra visit.

Waterfront apartments and shared spaces

Residential blocks along the river have lobbies, lifts, bin rooms, car parks and glass entries that strata managers want kept to a fixed routine. Salt air and river wind leave a film on glazing, so entry glass is wiped on every visit and the rest scheduled periodically.

      Questions

Commercial cleaning in Port Adelaide: questions.

Our building is heritage listed. Will the cleaning products damage anything?

Not if the surface is identified first. Old encaustic tile, marble thresholds, lime render and original timber are noted on the walk-through, matched with pH-neutral or specialist products, and listed in the scope so the same method is used every time. Anything fragile can be left to your conservation adviser.

Can you reach the ceilings and pressed-metal cornices?

Up to a safe ladder height, yes, with extension dusters and a platform ladder. Many Port buildings have ceilings well above that, and those are quoted as a separate high-access job with the equipment agreed before booking.

Our pub is busiest on match days and long weekends. Can visits change around that?

Yes. The scope can set a base frequency and add a visit after known busy dates, so the bar and toilets aren't left from Saturday night to Tuesday. The calendar is agreed up front and adjusted with notice.

Do you look after strata common areas on the waterfront?

Yes. Lobbies, lift cars, corridors, stairwells, bin stores and the car park are each given a frequency, and every visit is recorded with photos so the strata manager can show owners what was done without a site inspection.

Can a museum or gallery be cleaned without touching the exhibits?

Yes. Floors, toilets, the shop, the café and public touch points are cleaned, and display cases, objects and anything behind a barrier are excluded unless your collections staff say otherwise. The scope lists the no-touch zones so nobody has to guess.

Walk the old building with us. Floors, ceilings, then the timetable.

We'll meet you in Port Adelaide, look at the original surfaces, the ceiling heights, the trading hours and any heritage restrictions, and send a written scope with the tasks, the visit times and the price.
