Peninsula and port
Along the Lefevre Peninsula, Semaphore's main street and foreshore sit a short drive from heavy industry, port terminals and shipbuilding on the river side of Victoria Road. Sand and salt air shape the cleaning on the coast, while workshops and suppliers need inductions and industrial methods.
The industrial belt
Wingfield, Gillman, Ottoway, Dry Creek, Regency Park and Angle Park hold freight depots, recycling operations, factory units and new estates. Grand Junction Road links much of it. Sites here are planned around shifts, trucks and forklifts, with docks, crib rooms, slabs and high dusting each on their own line.
The eastern suburbs
East of the motorway, Enfield, Kilburn, Northfield and Windsor Gardens mix houses with Main North Road, Hampstead Road and North East Road businesses, medical practices, schools and church halls. Visits there follow trading hours, school terms and hall bookings rather than shift rosters.
